Novaro Translation
Translator and editor with a background in creative writing and experience working with conservation NGOs in the Americas.
I offer English-Spanish and Spanish-English translation as well as editing services in either language. I specialize in working with NGOs and other non-profit organizations on news articles, websites, pamphlets, reports, and other texts that help them share their message with the general public or with donors and supporters.

About Me
I was born and raised in Argentine Patagonia by two wildlife biologists. I’ve been fascinated by nature and conservation since childhood. Instead of taking a science path like my parents, I decided to focus on creative writing. Now, it brings me great joy to use my writing and language skills to help further the efforts of conservation across Latin America.
I graduated in 2018 with a B.A. in Creative Writing and a minor in English from Warren Wilson College in North Carolina, United States. My prior schooling was exclusively in Spanish. For six years, I have been translating and editing texts with a focus on environmental and conservation topics for a general audience.

My Process
01
Preparation
I discuss the project with my client to make sure I understand what they want, the tone and audience of the piece, the turnaround time, and any other necessary details.
I usually charge according to the word count of the original document.
The client and I agree on a price and deadline.
02
Translation
I conduct a three-step translation process: first translation pass, checking against the original text to make sure its meaning is preserved, and finally proofreading to make sure the text can stand on its own without the original. Then I submit the translated document to the client.
03
Editing
For editing projects, I follow a similar process, especially if I’m editing translated documents. I do a first pass with the two texts (original and translated) alongside each other, then a second pass to double-check that the original document’s intent is preserved, and a final proofread to ensure the translated document reads cleanly on its own.
04
Revision
If the client has feedback or comments, I make necessary adjustments. If the adjustments add to the word count of the original document (for example, if the client adds more text in the original language that they want me to add to the translated document) I adjust the total price accordingly. Otherwise, I don’t charge extra for edits.
